Presbyterian Cursillo-Presbyterian Pilgrimage
Spiritual Renewal Retreats
What’s the difference between Presbyterian
Cursillo & Pilgrimage?
Presbyterian Cursillo and Presbyterian Pilgrimage spiritual renewal retreats are alike in all major respects except one:
Presbyterian Cursillo is subject to the terms of the license agreement that allows it to use the name Cursillo. The principal restriction is that Presbyterian Cursillo may allow only members of the Presbyterian Church to participate in its Cursillo weekend retreats.
Presbyterian Pilgrimage has chosen not to be bound by such a requirement and thus does not use the Cursillo name.
Presbyterian Pilgrimage accepts members of any Christian church in its Pilgrimage weekend retreats. There are eleven Presbyterian Pilgrimage groups at present - four are located in Virginia. There are thirteen active Presbyterian Cursillo groups in nine other states and others in various stages of preparation.
The butterfly is a symbol of Presbyterian Cursillo and the rooster is a symbol of Presbyterian Pilgrimage.
